Château Hortevie, is one of the best small estates in St-Julien and a notable bargain at present prices. This Cru Bourgeois estate is owned by Henri Pradère and is tiny by St-Julien standards, with a mere 3.5 hectares of vineyards.
Hortevie is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, and is matured in oak barriques (20% new) for 12 months.
